The Faculty of Physical Education for Girls led an educational symposium on the occasion of the glorious October victories, organized by the Cultural Committee of the Youth Care Department on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Prof. Dr. Samah Ahmed Salah El-Din, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Acting Dean of the Faculty, received guests Major General Mohamed Saad Batisha, Major General Hassan Nassar, and Major General Mohamed El-Soul, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Duaa El-Dardery Abu El-Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Abeer Shehata, Head of the Youth Care Department. The symposium was moderated by Prof. Dr. Samia Hassan, Professor of Recreation at the Faculty and Symposium Coordinator.
The symposium was opened with welcoming remarks by Prof. Dr. Dean of the Faculty, emphasizing the importance of the topic, and invited the attendees to stand for a minute of silence and recite Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of the October War.
The symposium focused on the October victories, which were presented in a historical simulation of the events experienced by the soldiers and heroes of the October 6, 1973 war, with the aim of reviving this great national achievement and highlighting Egyptian pride and dignity, while strengthening national identity and increasing the sense of belonging to the homeland and the great Egyptian army among students. The poet Ahmed Yahya also recited a poem about the love of Egypt, which added a national atmosphere to the event. The symposium was attended by a large number of undergraduate and graduate students, in addition to members of the teaching staff, the assistant staff and the administrative apparatus.
